What I've been wearing...spam!

(I purchase the product mentioned in this post.) (Affiliate Link)

Good day to you all!

Ever since I got my new nails,I haven't been able to stop swatching and wearing polishes!

More about my "new nails": I found out about Custom Nail Solutions in early April. I actually happened upon a new blogger in our nail community who also wears the nails. Her name is Diane Graham and she writes the blog called Polish Sickness

I was curious about her nails and she invited me to join her Facebook group

To make a long story short, CNS,as they're called are artificial nails that are made of indestructible plastic. They are custom made from impressions that you make of your own nail beds. They come in many different lengths and shapes. Here is the website to order if you've any interest.
customnailsolutions.com You may also tell them I referred you. For every five referrals I get a free set of nails. As part of blogger integrity,I feel it is only right to mention that part.

The company, located in Dallas,Tx ships to Canada,as well as Britain and France, not to mention the United States.

And now to what I've worn the past week!

Orly It's Not Rocket Science
China Glaze Hyper Haute

Nubar Prismatic Gem
China Glaze Laser Lime

FNUG Psychedelic

I want to thank all of my new followers that have joined recently.I hope you will all find something positive to gain from reading my blog.
Also want to remind everyone, that there are still a couple of days left to enter my blogiversary giveaway. The link is located here.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day holiday!

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posting.I do have a good reason for being gone though.Oh,heck it was only a week, who cares right?

So how has your week been so far? I hope well.

today's nail of the day is going to be lavender.Yes,I forgot it was Pink day again.

Today's lacquer is from Zoya's Lovely collection,a light shimmery purple metallic called Julie.

Oh my,is that my acetone you see there in the background? Good, golly Moses, I gotta put the cap on that thing.

Take care and happy glazes to you :-)

White Haute Nails with Zoya!

White Haute Nails
Are you dreaming of this graphic looking nail for yourself? The secret is in the application.

With a perfect white nail polish, Zoya Purity, in hand we reached out to celebrity, editorial manicurist Sunshine Outing for her insider application secrets.

To start, Outing prefers a perfectly smooth surface created by using a ridge filling base coat with a milk base such as, Zoya Get Even… “Let it dry completely” before starting your color application. When it comes to white or pastel full coverage color, the biggest secret is to be patient and not to “go back in and overwork it”. Start with a thin first coat and don’t worry about streaks, “just get it on”. The second coat should be slightly thicker and cover the entire nail. Once the second coat is on, if any streaks or imperfections are showing, a “very, very thin” final layer of polish can be added. Allow color to briefly dry and then follow immediately with a protective top coat. The top coat will not only apply a glossy finish but also assist in bonding the layers of nail polish together for that professionally manicured nail look.
After the initial application, Outing recommends a lightly applied daily dose of topcoat for chip-free, glossy perfection.

INSIDER PRO MANICURE TIP
For a slender looking nail, manicurist Sunshine Outing suggests not covering all the way to the sides as way to create nails that look slender and sleek.

The Bat Jar Conjecture

(Sent for review)

Hi everyone.

Do I have any "Big Bang Theory" fans? I freakin love that show!

It was an okay day today, and then when I got home it got better to find these China Glaze Texture polishes sent to me for review.

First up is:

Bump and Grind

Bump and Grind is a pinkish red with what China Glaze calls "textured grit".
I like the color of this one alot.It took two coats for full coverage, but I used three just to be safe.

Bump and Grind with topcoat.
I used Orly Sec & Dry. I honestly don't think top coat helps much, but I wanted to try it.

And here we have:
Unrefined,a bright pink with textured grit. I applied three coats of this one as well. To me it is more like the pale pink in the bottle. This is sort of an awkward shot,as my nails are feeling "shy" today.

Unrefined with topcoat.

And finally:
Of Coarse,a bright cobalt blue with textured grit, which I would describe as not so much bright but medium blue. Three coats here as well.
Of Coarse,with top coat.

I like the colors of these texture polishes. The formula was certainly exceptional,as I find most China Glaze lacquers live up to that.
They were also very easy to remove.

These are slightly different from the other texture polishes we've seen from OPI and Zoya. China Glaze texture polishes are not glittery like the Zoya Pixie Dust polishes. However,it depends entirely on your own taste or preference whether you prefer your texture to be glittery or plain.

And I couldn't resist throwing this little slice of "Big Bang" from Youtube.

(Polish graciously provided for my honest review by a media representative.)

Now you can't see my nails.

At least that is what camouflage is about right?

So this morning I woke up thinking I wanted to do a half-moon mani, and one thing led to another,I ditched that idea, and decided to wear Essie Sew Psyched. I wasn't thinking about much else, until later.

Then I start browsing videos on Youtube and I am looking for a really great tutorial on how to do camo nails, because I rarely ever do nail art on this blog.

So here is my attempt at camo nails.

What I used for this look:

I used my base of Essie Sew Psyched. Then I got out my biggest dotting tool (which I got from a giveaway) from Jennifer at Little J's Nail Corner.

I also used OPI Chop Sticking To My Story, Zoya Josie, China Glaze Unplugged, Essence Colour and Go Cookie Love, and China Glazed Matte Magic top coat.

And of course here is a swatch of that great Army green I love so much called Sew Psyched. I am so glad I own this polish!

I feel really great about how this nail art turned out. It was incredibly easy for a first-time dotting tool user.

What do you think? Is there anything else you would have done with this mani?

Another Funky Fingers swatch

Hello everyone! First I just wanna say how awesome you all are for entering my giveaway!

I am not really much of a talker,so let's get on with today's post.

This is my favorite of the Funky Fingers polishes I received. Once again I have to say kudos to the manufacturer for the formula, amazing!

I love the metalic look of this one. Oh, the name, Mood Ring! Yes it is kind of duochromey, not color-changing like the mood rings were.Yet it does shimmer from blue to green. I wanted to call it a metallic teal.

Love!

Funky Fingers swatch

Today I am sharing a swatch of one of the Funky Fingers I received from Ariel and Heather

This is Funky Fingers Evanora's Envy. I can't remember how many coats I used. I just realized I already had it swatched, but hadn't posted it.

I do have one thing to say. This polish did go on like a dream. It was very smooth and easy to work with. There was no streakiness or balding. I found this to be a very rare incident,as it is a pastel creme polish.
I can definitely see myself wearing this polish again as a backdrop for some nail art.

I believe that Funky Fingers polish is made by the same company that makes Color Club. I have never, ever seen Funky Fingers in my part of the 'verse. (LOL)

Do you own any Funky Fingers polishes? What do you think of them?

It's fixed!

I have to say I am laughing at myself right now! I made an ASTRONOMICAL   booboo on my rafflecopter  giveaway. I actually am responsible for the error that made the giveaway ending date, oh about 1000 years or so into the future,LMBO!

I wanted to post this message up to those you who have already entered, and also to those of you may have not entered.

You may enter now without fear that you won't live long enough to win the prize. ( You have no idea how hysterically funny this is for me right now!)

Thanks for being such good sports about it!

Guest Post: Miss Mani Monster!

Let me start by saying how excited I am to be guest posting today on Glazed Talons!

I've been itching to get back to stamping, so I did a little experimenting today.

I started off with Hot Cinnamon from the Julie G Gumdrop collection. It's a gorgeous fire-engine red, and it's just phenomenal. Totally opaque in one coat. I wanted to see how it would look if I stamped over it, and I think it worked!

I used Kleancolors Metallic Black, which I love because it is completely opaque in one quick coat and it dries metallic & matte. I chose a cracked design off of BM-208, thinking it might look like shattered rubies or something.

It actually kind of reminds me of Spiderman! Anyway, now that I know textured polishes look awesome with stamping over them, expect to see more in the near future!! Please let me know if you have any ideas for designs that might look cool over textured polishes, color combos, or anything else! I love to get my hands dirty! A big thank you to Natalie for having me!

I am reminded of Spiderman by this mani too! Please make sure to visit Heather's blog Miss Mani Monster!
And thank you so much,Heather, for guest posting for me!
